2024 NSSA National Award Winners

This year’s Achievement Award recognises the partnership of Peter Taylor, Andrew Edlin, and David Edlin, Meshtec International Co-Founders. Their collaborative efforts have not only transformed their company, Meshtec International, but have also helped to revolutionise the security screen industry.

From the inception of the patented wedge system ‘Supascreen’, developed by their previous company D&S Security, which won the Australian Innovation Award, to their strategic shift into manufacturing high-tensile stainless steel woven mesh, this partnership has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the industry. Their innovations have set new standards for quality and safety, including influencing the introduction of knife shear testing to the Australian Standards for security screens.

Today, Meshtec’s products are a global benchmark for excellence, exported to over 25 countries. The growth of Meshtec from a small Brisbane operation to an industry leader with a state-of-the-art facility in Thailand is a testament to the vision, determination, and innovation of Peter, Andrew, and David.
